This is my daughter and wife.

They mean everything to me.

I am willing to do anything to give them the kind of life they deserve.

And live their life on their own terms.

So, I left my comfortable corporate nine-to-five job to start a business.

Not for the glamorous, but solely for the financial freedom.

Except, it's... nothing like having financial freedom.

At the early stage of my business, I was at fault for falling into the shiny object syndrome.

Every business owner back then was scratching their head on how to raise funds by any means possible.

And I was no different.

We explored various funding options.

Business loan..

Crowdfunding...

Preference shares...

Angel investors...

Peer-to-peer (P2P) lending...

And even ICO (Initial Coin Offering).

I have to juggle between delivering the jobs for our clients...

And constantly looking for ways to raise more funds.

Stressed out of my mind.

And no matter what I did, I couldn't seem to get ahead with the burn rate.

I'll never forget it...

Closing my eyes now, I can still visualise most of what played out some years ago...

Like it was just yesterday.

After a lot of late nights, early mornings…

Countless working weekends...

When I thought things couldn't be worse, The COVID-19 pandemic stroked us unexpectedly.

The whole world was locked down...

Businesses were panicking.

Budgets were being cut on a scale never seen before.

And I lost 95% of the income and funding sources overnight!

The stress of putting food on the table has become an all-time high...

I finally had a lightbulb moment...

And figured out that a business that depends too much on begging for cash instead of actually making money ain't gonna last.

A solid business should be able to hold its own and not rely on external funding.

I hustled and dived myself into the world of business development...

Scouring the darkest corners of the Internet...

Reading the works of successful people...

Learning about...

The latest marketing hacks and strategies...

After what had felt like a heroic journey of climbing mountains...

Crossing raging rivers…

And slaying dragons...

I finally cracked the code.

Something finally worked!

Despite all the technological advancements, human pyschology never changed.

I tried to reverse-engineer why it worked.

Breaking down its constituent parts.

And then rebuilding it again.

I began to intimately understand every element of this selling system.

And exactly WHY it works.

Despite being stuck at home...

Our business has managed to rake up 6 figures income for the first year.

And this result repeats itself again in the following year.

(Yeah, the world was still plagued by the pandemic and many businesses were closing.)
